How Jump Higher
Even though we can’t fly, we can jump. How high a person can jump varies from person to person. Many people are always in search of ways by which they can improve how high they can jump. Fortunately, there are a number of exercises that are available which can improve your jumping heights. Doing this will soon have you going higher.
WARMING UP
Exercises should never be started without a warm up. People who fail to warm up their muscles stand the all too common risk of developing muscle cramps. Do light aerobic workouts. You could skip for a short while. The aim is to get your blood pumping.
JUMPING EXERCISES
Now that you’re ready. Your body is now ready to try out some exercises. These exercises are aimed at increasing the strength and flexibility of your legs and knees. The following are some of the routines you can do.
Deep Knee Bends - Start from a standing position. With your backs straight, gradually lower yourself by bending your knees. Go as low as you can and then slowly rise again. Do this 10 to 15 times.
Deep Knee Bend Jumps - Again start from a standing position. Then in one fluid movement crouch as low as you can and then shoot yourself up into the air. As soon as you land , again redo the process. Do 10 to 15 repetitions of this.
Toe Raises - Start from a standing position with your back straight. Then very gently raise yourself on your toes. Count to 2 before gently lowering yourself. Avoid rocking back and forth. Do 20 reps of this.
Jumping Rope - You can get any true jumping results without more jumping. Try engaging in a series of daily jumps with the help of a jump rope. This not only will improve your muscles it will also sharpen your reflex.
Jumping Lifestyles:
Other things can be done to improve the results of your jump. One of these is to lose some weight. Lighter people find it easier to jump higher. Observing the people that compete at high jump games will prove this. Mass works very well with gravity, this is why heavy people cannot jump far.
