Completely Eradicate Cravings Consuming Just Green Smoothies
It really isn’t too far off to suggest that green smoothies really does give you just about all the components that your body needs to maintain health. Besides perhaps Vitamin D and Vitamin B12, I believe, these drinks have it all (including protein). The trouble I had when I started out drinking the smoothies were the unhealthy cravings. Learn about how I alleviated them forever.
I’d like to start off by saying that the contents of this article only my opinion based on information I have read from expert authors in addition to more than a decade of eating and living the way I have on a daily basis. That and my blood work results every 6 months that reveals zero deficiencies, I think that this information is very valuable and of course valid. Perhaps it just works for me, my genetics and body type, I can’t say for sure. However, just like cigarette smoke will have an affect on each one of us with varying degrees of health negatives, eating green smoothies, I believe, will have an affect on each one of us with varying degrees of health positives. Try it for yourself, after discussing it with your doctor of course.
The body is designed to heal itself right? With all the sick people, that doesn’t seem like the case does it? Maybe it’s an inaccurate statement, and the body is not equipped to heal itself? No! The problem is that men and women a) don’t supply it with the appropriate amount of raw materials, usually in terms of food intake, it needs to reset itself and b) we attack our body with junk that hinders the functionality of the limited tools that we do give it.
I’m a huge admirer of the raw food diet. To say that heating food over and above a certain temperature destroying required enzymes that are important for digestion makes sense to me. Beyond that, it is suggested that to get the most from our food we should chew it until it’s completely liquefied. We have troubles handling big morsels of food. Also, I really feel that people can thrive with a a diet of mostly fruits and dark green leafy vegetables, with the occasional healthy fats. For the healthy fats, avocados, soaked nuts and seeds is all I eat.
The main meals I consume every single day are comprised of lots of raw fruits and green veggies in the form of green smoothies. Smoothies, being essentially liquefied, my body is able to assimilate the nutrients without a problem.
A giant hurdle for some people when switching diets, and a huge one for myself is the cravings for bad foods. Just like a person that is addicted to drugs or alcohol must go through a detox to be able to heal, we essentially have to do a similar thing. Our cells are comprised of stuff from the food that we have eaten in the past. The body generally craves more of the same unhealthy foods that contribute to the makings of each of the cells in our body. With a drug detox, many times, sauna therapy is used to sweat the drugs out of the system. This could help eliminate the physical drug cravings allowing the person an improved chance at sobriety. For us, adjusting our eating habits will trigger the elimination of toxic foods as well which can be naturally removed in our poop, sweat and perhaps urine. However, we may still having cravings for those foods while some of the contaminants in our cells are still present.
I find that instantly after having the first swallow of my smoothie my own cravings for salt, greasy foods, sugar, etc began to decrease. After I was finished drinking the smoothie, the cravings passed completely and I would be content. The concern then was that the cravings would come again as I grew hungry. So I started to make sure I was on top of it and would have another green smoothie prepared before the cravings would reoccur, or not too long after they began. The cravings gradually subsided for good as I became healthier. Afterward I began to crave greens instead!
My questions now is, do you wish to stay sick with extra pounds or would you like to have a look at a healthier diet giving your body all its required nutrition?
